Photos by Chris Krco >> Our club, Zumbro Valley Scale Modelers (IPMS 5-33), held its first make-n-take event on April 24, 2013 with Scout Pack 196 in Rochester, MN. We had a large turnout and used all fifty of the supplied kits. It was well received by scouts, siblings and parents. Club members had a rewarding time too.

>> On Saturday, February 9th, the Lippisch Chapter held a Make ‘n Take activity at the Cedar Rapids Science Center. The four youngsters who were there had a great time building F-14s and ’34 Fords. While the Chapter provided the models and tools, it was the expertise of the four Chapter members: Bill Kreuger, Jim Douglas, Adam Mangold and Bill Hosford, that was greatly appreciated by the kids and their adults. Our Prez, Bill Kreuger, brought in a completed model of the ’34 Ford that became the door prize. The club members also brought in some completed models to show the participants and illustrate the range of models we work on, scale, and detailing. Many thanks to the sponsors of the event; the Science Center, IPMS/USA, BoxKar Hobbies, and, of course, the Lippisch Chapter and it’s volunteer experts.
